Week 81 – Ploiești, România
Wonderful Family and friends. I have had an interesting week. It has been a roller coaster of ups and downs, and I don’t even know how to explain that all other than. Missionary work. It has been really cool to see the blessings unfold but not in the way you would think.
This week has really flown by, and the really cool thing was our exchange in Brașov this week. It is really nice to visit a city where you have served in the past. We went there for a baptismal interview. We, as zone leaders, interview those who are being taught by the district leaders in each individual cities. We are lucky that we got to go and interview a 13 year boy who was indeed baptized this sunday. It was so weird pulling into Brașov with everything being green. I remember leaning to my companion, and telling him “I think we took a different route, I don’t remember any of this.” It was really neat, and I should have taken pictures but I didn’t. What was really cool though was the lesson that the elder in Brașov and I had with a wonderful lady I knew from before. She was an older investigator when I was there and it was cool to visit with her again. I had the opportunity to teach her about why we were there, and I shared with her my own personal story as to why I came out on a mission. It was really powerful and I felt for the first time on my mission that I taught WITH the Spirit. I don’t know what will happen with her in the future, but it was a great lesson. I felt like a million dollars and I hope that she will feel the same way I feel with all of this stuff and choose to follow Christ more.
That was the greatest spiritual up side of the week, which of course came with the spiritual down side later this week, but there must be opposition in all things. however, we have come through it, and this week is looking like it is going to be a good one. Let’s see…I think that that is really it. We just keep on trucking along and try to boost up the branches as much as we can.
OOH! We do have a few cool things coming up. SO Meet The Mormons movie was translated into Romanian, and that is a big deal. So we have made it a big deal and in ten-ish days we will have a premier for it here in Ploiesti! It is such a good movie! I love it! I hope that we will have a good turn out and maybe even find some people to teach through it. I am grateful that we have that chance as well. We also have Zone Training meeting coming up ahead and so we have our work cut out for us. We are in charge of it, and I am not sure what to do exactly. I will work it out this week, and everything will be good. I think that that is all I have for you guys. I love you all and keep at that scripture study!
